Just recycling a coco sketch for some painting practice. Trying out yet another reverse-engineered method of painting, but I’m mainly interested in playing with the colours more than anything. This is also the first thing I’ve started painting in the Photoshop CS6 beta, and also the first thing I’ve painted on my new IPS monitor. Hopefully the colours look okay on everyone else’s screen.
I’ll finish this later, but for now, SLEEP.

Trying out the latest version (1.6) of the Procreate painting app. They’ve done an amazing job with it, and I can’t wait to try out the supported pressure sensitive stylus when it becomes available later in the year.
If you have an iPad and you want to try painting with it, I’d definitely recommend checking Procreate out. I’ve tried a lot of painting apps, and this one definitely wins in speed and features.
Sharpened and level adjustments done in Photoshop
Due to popular demand which may or may not have actually occurred, here’s the painted version of the monkey girl I sketched before.
She started off in grayscale and then colour was added later, because I like to LEARNEN NEW TECHNIQUE !!
I finally managed to get out of my Banaman pyjamas, but now I’m stuck in some Sonic the Hedgehog themed ones instead. They’re chequered, so it kinda makes me look like a chef, but I ain’t cooking unless it’s to battle Lloyd Grossman, and he doesn’t even do Master Chef any more, so what’s the point?
ANYWAY. That was then, this is now, and now is all about dubstep cats. Even if you hate dubstep, you’ll love Skifcha. If you do hate Skifcha, then you’re obviously a dog. Get off the computer, dog! You don’t even had hands!
Watch Skifcha (no dogs allowed !!)
This is what Space Alpacas turn into once they’re back in the Earth’s atmosphere! You didn’t think vapour trails in the sky were left by planes, did you?
I think the last time I drew her was like… 3 years ago? I had the sketch for this lying around and I needed something to fool around with in Photoshop to get back into the painting groove. Didn’t expect to go full render on it, but I liked how it was turning out, so I carried on!
